Titan Security Europe was recently contracted to provide event security for a private event in Brussels. This blog post will explain these security services and discuss how effective they were.

Our Event Security Client

A ticketed private event connected to a pageant was taking place in Brussels, Belgium.

Titan Security Europe was approached by a member of the event committee tasked with securing the event.

As per our usual procedure, we began with a free consultation with the client in which we asked for their specific security concerns. This would allow us to produce the best security plan for them.

Their Concerns

The concerns of the client were as follows:

  • Unauthorised persons would attempt to enter the event, as it had had a lot of media coverage.
  • The event would be running for some time, and unauthorised persons may try to sneak in once the event is in full swing.
  • Weapons, communication devices, or other potential threats may be snuck into the event.
  • Alcohol was to be served at the event, which could lead to unruly behaviour.

These were the concerns the client presented to us during our consultation with them.

From these, we were able to devise a security plan best suited to the client and their event.

What We Did

We considered each individual concern of the client and ended up providing them with the following to combat these concerns:

  • We placed guards on the doors to the event to check that every person attempting to enter the event had a ticket and was on the specified guest list.
  • We staggered the start times of our guards to ensure that there were guards on the door throughout the event and that they would not grow tired and ineffective.
  • Our guards on the doors and within the venue had metal detectors to check entrants for potential weapons and other threats.
  • Once alcohol was served at the event, guards within the venue began to patrol around to initiate crowd control tactics should anyone become too rowdy.

The staggering of start times were of particular importance to this event.

Guards had to remain on the door throughout the entire event, and more guards were needed within the venue once crowd control tactics were required.

Staggering start times ensured that guards could perform at their most effective without growing fatigued.

The Outcome

The event for the pageant ran without any of the issues the client had grown concerned about presenting themselves. Thanks to our guards, only those with a ticket entered the event; nothing unauthorised was smuggled in, and even once alcohol was served, the event ran smoothly and safely.

The client was extremely happy with our service, especially given their level of concern over the event. We plan to work with them again in the future.
