Security for the green energy industry
We were approached by a client in the United Kingdom to supply 24/7 guarding and patrolling of a new 56-acre solar panel site.
In initial talks with the client, they requested a single guard to patrol the site throughout the day, and another to patrol at night. Due to the size and difficult terrain of the site, we agreed with the client to double up on guards during the night but recommended that more security guards were needed to provide adequate cover.
After a nighttime security breach that resulted in the theft of expensive materials, it was clear that security cover was still inadequate to cover such a large site and that security should be reviewed.
THE SOLUTION
Security Technology we introduced:
- CCTV coverage
- Lighting
- Sensor Alarms
- We also provided a 4×4 vehicle to assist our guards with patrols
We also increased manned guarding levels to 5 guards at night and three during the day. We managed to achieve this enhanced coverage while remaining within the client’s budget. There have been no further security breaches at the site
