The event security assignment
In August 2025, we provided event security for a highly anticipated Pokémon event that was held at The Hague Pier in the Netherlands.
When the organisers initially approached us for a security consultation due to the interest and hype around the event, their main security concerns were:
- Unauthorised entrance
- Bottlenecks in the admission queues
- Looking out for and de-escalating or deterring disruptive behaviour
The solution
Following the talks, we were awarded the contract and provided the following event security services:
- Access control: Guards checked tickets, allowing only one person through at a time to prevent bottlenecks at the entrance to the event and ensuring that the attendees moved along freely and quickly.
- Crowd monitoring: Our security officers monitored the crowds as the event progressed and were tasked with de-escalating any disruptive situation that occurred.
- Coordination with the event staff: The guards reported any incidents to the designated event staff.
The client also requested that the guards wear fluorescent yellow vests and have radios for communication.
The outcome
The event ran smoothly and with little incident. The client was delighted with the security we provided, and we hope to be working with them on future events.
