This blog post will explore the event security services that Titan Security Europe recently provided to a private event in the UK.

The Client’s Concerns

A private party event was being held for students aged 16–21 in London. The event consisted of food, drink and music and was going on through the night.

The client organising the event had the following concerns about its security:

  • Individuals who had not purchased tickets attempted to enter the event thus putting it over capacity.
  • Drunken behaviour leading to fights or other untoward behaviour.
  • Prohibited activities pertaining to drugs, both taking and dealing.
  • Alcohol – the venue planned to serve alcohol, and with the event being extremely busy there were concerns that students would not be asked to provide ID and as a result underage drinking would occur.

The client approached us at Titan Security Europe and asked for our assistance in the running of the event.

Event Security

Titan Security Europe has been providing event security globally for over two decades. From private affairs such as parties and weddings to large and upscale public events such as concerts and festivals, we have provided security to all types of events.

The services that we provide to events include everything ranging from door supervision to crowd control. Regardless of the size of your event or the specific services you require, if you have been tasked with securing an event, come to the experts at Titan Security Europe.

What We Did

Working with the client from early on in the planning process of the event, we were able to identify their main concerns and find the best solution to deal with them.

  • As the event was ticketed, we asked that our guards be provided with a guest list. On entry to the event, each student had to provide their name and show their ticket to the guards. They would not be allowed entrance without this.
  • We had guards placed throughout the venue too, to keep an eye out for fights, brawls or other unsightly behaviour so they could enact crowd control techniques to keep the peace.
  • Our patrolling guards also kept an eye out for any illegal activity occurring, with specific instruction to remove any individual found partaking in such activity.
  • On entrance to the event, our guards asked to see the IDs of each student. If the student was over 18, they were provided with one colour wristband, and if they were under, they were provided with another. This meant that IDs for each student were checked and no alcohol would be sold to anyone underage.

The Outcome

The event ran well. The client ran into no real issues, and any issues that did start to occur were swiftly and effectively dealt with by our guards.

The biggest concern of the client had been underage drinking, and this was an issue that did not present at all due to our guards checking identifications.
