Christmas in Scandinavia

Many cities all over the world have the culture of having Christmas Markets in the community which bring people together, drive tourism, and having a celebration with our favorite holiday delicacies and Christmas feelings.

While traveling through Sweden, Norway and Denmark to visit various Christmas markets, and specialty stalls, I got a first-hand experience of what being a tourist during the holidays in the beautiful, known and cold Northern Europe truly felt like.

Gothenburg, Sweden is known for having one of the best Christmas markets in Scandinavia and even one which is also an amusement park, Liseberg. You can also feel the specialness this holiday brings just by going outside to see buildings decorated like presents under a tree.

Besides the wonderful time you can have from coffee shop sitting, to Christmas Market hopping, don’t forget to stop and take a look at the architecture and openness of all of the spaces in Northern Europe. One of the things that surprised me most is how clean it is without seeing many places to dispose of trash. The weather might not look the best, but this shouldn’t stop you from seeing Scandinavia during the Christmas holidays with all it has to offer.

When going from country to country, they are all accessible by comfortable trains and busses that are well equip with basic luxuries that make time go by, but if you’re in a hurry, I recommend flying. There are cheap airlines between the cities.

Whether you are choosing to go to Oslo, Norway, to see its Viking museums or the Nobel Peace prize building, to Stockholm, Sweden to go to the Mall of Scandinavia, to Gothenburg, Sweden to visit one of the most well-known Christmas, Markets, or to Copenhagen, Denmark to visit its coffee roasters, and hospitable people and Christmas markets, you are truly in for a treat in this Northern Europe region. We provide Security guards across region.
