Across 2017 and 2018 we supplied security guards to Chubb. They contacted us as part of contract won with UK facilities supplier Wales and West. The sites were highly sensitive and the client required all officers to be SHEA gas certificated. The first site was just outside of Bristol and progressed through years into Wales. We recruited officers for this role from a pool of guards we had based in this area. These officers were then given several days of training on the dangers of SHEA gas at our Torquay head office via a qualified SHEA gas trainer. Both directors of the business took active roles in the training and recruitment process for guards. Once site work was due to commence a full site plan was drawn up and an onsite brief was given with all officers present. We liaised with Chubb and Mitie officers on best practises for the initial site, setting out patrol frequency and camera points. The site was manned twenty four hours a day seven days a week, with a team of 5 officers fully trained on rotation. This initial site and successful completion led to us being renewed to cover a further four more sites which led to completion of full remit by wales and west and their client Chubb.
